The display of the iPhone 6 Plus, Apple’s 5.5-inch device that knows gymnastics, is coming with a pixel density of 401ppi, That display is beautiful. But what you see above is a new screen introduced by Sharp that features a whopping 736ppi. It’s a 4.1-inch display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600.
According to Sharp, the new display has the same ppi as that of a 4K display that measures 6 inches. We know what many customers might be thinking at the moment. How much battery life will this screen consume? And will the super-high resolution make that much of a difference on a smaller display? Whether you get your answer or not, Sharp is said to be planning to provide companies with sample panels sometime in 2015 and mass production of the screens might happen in 2016.
