Xiaomi Redmi 1S Update Will Fix Heating Problem, According To The Company

Worried about your new Xiaomi Redmi 1S’ performance issues? Xiaomi seems to have taken the necessary steps to solve the problems. The company has released an OTA update for Redmi 1S users in India and it reportedly fixes some major bugs.

“Today we released an over-the-air system update (v45) for the Redmi 1S,” said Hugo Barra, Vice President, Xiaomi Global, on Facebook. “This release incorporates feedback received from a large number of users and addresses a few important issues.”

The update is said to be coming with a better thermal control algorithm that will help in solving the device’s heating problem. It will keep your handset below 38-degrees Celsius during normal usages. The update reportedly improves MIUI’s memory (RAM) management. That will prevent background apps from getting killed unexpectedly. The patch will also solve issues such as frame rate drops and UI lag that happens during intensive tasks.

It has to be seen whether or not the issues with the device will affect its sales. But the sixth flash sale of the Xiaomi Redmi 1S happened today at 2pm IST on Flipkart and 1,00,000 units were available for over 4,00,000 of registered users. The device is now out of stock at the website. If those numbers are correct, people are still very much interested in it. The next sale is on October 21 and the registration will start at 6PM.
