Motorola Moto E: Specs, Price And Availability (Video)

You probably have taken a look at the most affordable Motorola Moto E earlier and now the device has just been made official by the company.

The following are the specs of the device:

  • 4.3-inch LCD, qHD (540×960) display, 256 ppi, Gorilla Glass 3
  • 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor, Adreno 302
  • 1 GB of RAM
  • 4 GB of internal storage (microSD card slot which supports up to 32GB)
  • 5 MP rear camera
  • 1,980 mAh battery
  • GPS, microUSB 2.0, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0
  • Android 4.4.3 KitKat
  • 124.38 x 64.8 x 12.3 mm, 142 grams

The device supports UMTS 850/900/1900/2100, AWS 850/1700/1900 (2100) + QGSM 850/900/1800/19000, GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and CDMA 800/850/1900.

According to Motorola, the Moto E is “priced for all” and “made to last”, and it seems that they are right with their description. The device is water resistant and there’s Gorilla Glass 3 protection, so the handset will probably last long. And it starts at $129. That’s very cheap and the specs are quite good too especially when we think about all the other devices in that price range.

Of course, you might not be too impressed with the RAM and internal storage. But 1GB RAM is more than enough for Android 4.4 KitKat and there’s a microSD card slot for more storage. And we remind you again about the device’s very low price.

We will take a closer look at the device’s display sometime soon, but for now it seems to be alright for the price. And that battery should last quite a while all thanks to the smaller display.

The handset runs Android 4.4.3 (not even available on Nexus devices) and the OS is almost stock-like except for a few additions such as Assist and the Motorola Alert.

Pricing and Availability

As we told you earlier, the device starts at $129 in the US and will come with a price tag of £89 in the UK. For our readers in India, the device will be available via Flipkart for Rs 6,999. In the coming weeks, the handset will hit 40 countries and will be available from over 80 carriers.

So, are you interested in the new device? It is one of the cheapest brand name devices available out there and it appears like your experiences with it will be quite good as well. Shout out in the comments about whether you are going to get it or not.
