German tuner Hartge has developed a few aftermarket upgrade packages, via ECU remaps, that would go into the 2014 BMW 2-Series Coupe, increasing the car’s output parameters.
Hartge happens to be one of the first tuners to get their hands on the BMW 2-Series and their upgrades can be used for both the petrol and diesel variants of the Coupe. Besides the changes under the hood, Hartge will also provide sports spring sets that will bring down the car by 30mm in the front and 10 in the rear. They are also throwing in goodies such as wheel caps, floor mats and custom emblems.
The following are the power output upgrades possible from the aftermarket tune-up.
- 218d: Produces 143 PS (105 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque. Upgrade will boost it to 174 PS (128 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft).
- 220d: Original output is 184 PS (135 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft). The aftermarket boost will take it to 218 PS (160 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft).
- 225d: Produces 218 PS (160 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft). After the tweak it will release 258 PS (190 kW) and 530 Nm (391 lb-ft).
- 220i: Original output of 184 PS (135 kW) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) will be increased to 218 PS (160 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque.
