New Android Powered Galaxy Camera for $499 on AT&T

Technically, this new camera is still an Android smartphone; it has a 1.5GHz processor, a 4.8 inch top quality HD LCD display, and it’s running on Android Jellybean, with access to the Google Play store, meaning any owners of this device can still download and run apps like a usual smartphone device could. The difference however, is in the camera specs. The Galaxy Camera sports a 16 megapixel CMOS image sensor, with a 21x optical zoom lens. If the camera runs smoothly with the single core processor, then we’ve got ourselves a beautiful piece of equipment, and with all the amazing camera apps on the Google Play store, the Galaxy Camera opens up a lot of room for creativity. On top of the above, the Galaxy Camera comes fitted with 4G capabilities and AT&T has given the low down on their new pricing structure for the product, which is set to go on sale on November 16th. The handset comes in at a price of $499, but AT&T is willing to take $100 off of that price with a new 2 year contract with any Galaxy smartphone. The device also has a set of data plans which ranges from 250MB to 20GB of 4G data usage. The prices are as follows:

  •      AT&T Mobile Share: $10 to share between 1 GB and 20GB
  •      AT&T DataConnect 250MB: $15 for 250MB
  •      AT&T DataConnect 3GB: $30 for 3GB
  •      AT&T DataConnect 5GB: $50 for 5GB

The Mobile Share allows users to share data between a range of devices, giving you a more centralized control over the internet usage in your house. The Galaxy Camera will also have a free 5GB of storage to use with AT&T Locker, an online photo and video sharing service. What do you think of the new Galaxy Camera?
