When you restrict your travel to Canada and the United States, it’s easy to forget that the rest of the world doesn’t necessarily speak English. When I was in Taiwan, I had a hell of a time trying to communicate with the people there and my experience in Tokyo was no different.
If you happen to rock the iPhone, you will be happy to hear that Google Translate has now been optimized for the Apple device, making it easy for you translate your words across 24 different languages. The iPhone-optimized version works over an Internet connection in Safari, so you’ll need a good data plan if you happen to be traveling abroad.
Point your Safari browser to Google.com and then click on More. From there, you can click on Translate and the tool will pop up for your disposal.
