Everyone seems to be jumping on the Eee PC-like bandwagon these days and it seems like the trend is to go slightly bigger. Just as Asus unleashed the 10-inch Asus Eee PC 1000 onto the world at Computex, Medion is doing the 10-inch thing too with the unveiling of the Medion Akoya.
Featuring a 10.2-inch WSVGA LED display, the Medion Akoya actually has a keyboard that is usable by adult hands. My biggest complaint about the original Eee PC 701 was that the keyboard was so hard to type on, especially when you are accustomed to larger keyboards. Interestingly, unlike everyone else at the show, the Medion Akoya makes no mention of Atom. Instead, it’s powered a 1.5GHz “Intel Processor”.
The rest of the specs include Windows XP, 802.11n Wireless LAn, 1GB of DDR2-667 RAM, 80GB hard drive, integrated webcam, and HD audio.
