Although earlier rumors said that this tune-pumping handset wouldn’t be ready until closer to August, it has now been revealed that T-Mobile could be snatching up and launching the Nokia XpressMusic 5310 as early as next week. Following in the design cues of previous XpressMusic handsets, the 5310 is mostly dressed up in black with the exception of the red accents that flank the display on either side. You’ll also notice the dedicated music controls along the left side.
The rest of the main specs on the Nokia XpressMusic 5310 bar-style phone include a 2-inch QVGA display, 2.0 megapixel camera, FM radio, microSD expansion (1GB card included), 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo Bluetooth, and tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE. For those of you concerned, it’s the “good” kind of tri-band for North Americans: 850/1800/1900. Unfortunately, there does not appear to be any 3G on this puppy.
Look for the Nokia XpressMusic 5310 to arrive at T-Mobile on May 28th. Pricing is said to be $49.99 with a two-year contract. If you don’t like the red, they’ll also have it with purple or orange.
