It seems that one of the hottest new features to be found on consumer-level digital cameras is Wi-Fi connectivity. People want to get rid of those wires and upload their photos straight onto the web. We first saw the Lumix DMC-TZ50 some time ago when it was a Japan-only unit, but now the Panasonic shooter is coming State-side.
The better news is that the Wi-Fi radio shoved into this digital camera is going to come with one year of free T-Mobile hotspot access. What this means is that the next time you’re on the road, you can snap those photos and upload them at the closest coffee shop or airport. Automatic backups and sharing!
As if the wireless access wasn’t enough, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ50 also has 10x optical zoom to go with its 9.0 megapixel image sensor. Look for it next month for $450.
