Mobile web surfers will inevitably tell you that they heart Opera Mini very muchie. As luck would have it, Opera Mini has been successfully ported over to the Google Android operating system. This means that Opera fans will continue to enjoy their version of the world wide web even after they take the plunge into the realm of Android.
The process of porting Opera Mini over to Android was surprisingly easy, they say, because all the developers had to do was take the original Opera Mini code base and then use “a wrapper that would translate J2ME API calls into Android API calls.” Don’t get this confused with a rapper who would translate booty calls into child support payment calls.
MicroEmulator, the developer behind the operation, was the lead developer for Opera Mini for Android as well as the person responsible for this open source wrapper.
