There were so many cell phones on display at the Mobile World Congress last week, and so it’s understandable that something like this would fly under the radar until now. What you’re seeing is the newly revealed LG KM500 Music Phone, a compact handset that has clearly been designed to keep your head bobbing all day long.
Because it’s a music phone, the KM500 from LG comes equipped with an integrated player that will handle MP3, AAC++, and WMA files, and it will recognize ID3 tags too. These tags are then displayed on the main screen, letting you know exactly what you’re listening to. The easy PC sync makes it easy to upload new content too.
Other features include a 2-inch TFT QVGA display, microSD expansion, Bluetooth, and a 2 megapixel camera. No word on pricing or availability, but seeing how the LG KM500 uses GPRS/EDGE for data, it might have a chance of coming our way.
