I’m personally not a fan of those desktop-replacing 17+ inch wonders, because they’re so far from portable, it’s not even funny. Going reasonably small and lightweight is the way to go when it comes to laptops for me, but I still want to have a display (and keyboard) that’s big enough to be actually usable. The Lenovo Thinkpad X300 series has been making its rounds in the rumor mill for some time now, so it’s nice to see the 13.3-inch wonder finally get confirmed by an actual retailer.
Best Buy has officially confirmed the existence of the Lenovo Thinkpad X300 series and we couldn’t be more pleased with the lightweight computer. Featuring a business-minded all-black exterior, the X300 barely tips the scales at a mere 2.5 pounds, making it perfect for professionals on the go. The specs are pretty nice too, with a 13.3-inch LED backlit WXGA+ display, Santa Rosa Crestline SFF GMS @ 800MHz, 802.11n, Bluetooth, EVDO Rev.A, HSDPA, WiMAX, 64GB SSD, up to 4GB RAM, camera, microphone, and a 3-cell battery good for about 4.0 hours of life.
It’s easily not the cheapest laptop on the market, but this lightweight wonder is an absolute beast. Pick one up at Best Buy Business for about $2700.
