I’ve always been a pretty big fan of SanDisk flash memory products and their increasingly compact offerings have been nothing short of impressive in terms of performance. Having used a SanDisk Cruzer Micro on several occasions, I can say that I love the form factor and things just got better with the recent announcement of the SanDisk Cruzer Titanium Plus.
This isn’t the first time that the Cruzer Micro got a metal treatment, because the Cruzer Titanium is already available on the market. This might make you wonder what’s so “plus” about the Cruzer Titanium Plus. Well, it enables “users to create automatic online backup of every file copied to this drive.”
The crush-resistant metal case will prevent physical damage, but it’s the online access of files that makes this drive different. Better still, if you accidentally delete something, it can still be retrieved online. Retail price for the 4GB drive is $60 and that comes with six months of online backup. It’s $30/year after that to retain the service.
