As revolutionary and attractive as the Apple iPhone is, there are still several departments where it is lacking in the most basic of functionality. Like, how can you have a smartphone that doesn’t do copy and paste? Well, we hear that the iPhone will finally gain this ability when firmware 1.1.3 gets released to the public.
MacScoop is reporting that the upcoming firmware update — an “incomplete and unpolished version” of which has already been leaked — will allow users to enjoy copy/paste functionality. This means that when you read something in an email or on a webpage, you can paste that into a contact or a memo. This has long since been available on Symbian and Windows Mobile devices.
We still don’t know how the copy/paste will work, but a mockup video has been made that depicts how it might look.
