When you’re taking an extended flight across the Pacific, the last thing you want to happen is to have your laptop run out of juice right when you’re in the middle of something. For power-hungry users who have a hard time tethering themselves to wall outlets, the 1.7kg Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook S6410 notebook comes equipped with a very impressive 10 hour battery life. It’s not quite a full 24 hour period, but you’ll be hard-pressed to find another laptop with this kind of juice.
To achieve the stated 10 hours of battery life, however, a few things have to be just so. By pressing the special EcoButton, the computer will dial down the processor’s clock rate, reduce the display brightness, and power down other components that use lots of energy. But hey, sacrifices must be made! Apparently, you also have the option of replacing the optical drive with a second battery too.
Other key features include a 13.3-inch widescreen, WiFi, Bluetooth, UMTS/HSUPA (1.4Mbit/s), integrated webcam, spill-proof keyboard, and a magnesium lid.
