Confederate Renovatio Motorcycle is Virtually Frameless

You’ve come to the right place if you’re looking for a totally unconventional two-wheeler. The Renovatio Streetbike by Confederate is said to be “virtually frameless” but that’s not to say that it’s lacking a backbone. In fact, Confederate — based out of New Orleans — creates the Renovatio completely by hand, granting consumers a look that falls somewhere between industrial and goth.

Latin for “rebirth”, the Renovatio gets powered by a 1686cc v-twin engine. The naturally aspirated motor will generate about 150hp, whereas the supercharged one should output 190hp. In some concept pictures, the driver’s seat “is suspended in midair from the tank.” Crazy features like this that have attracted the attention of guys like Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. Because it has a modular design, the Renovatio can be configured in a slightly different way for each customer.

Previous offerings from Confederate — The Wraith and Hellcat Street Bikes — have retailed for over $50,000, so you can fully expect the Renovatio to be much the same. Production is expected to commence next year.
