Want to jump into the current generation of MP3 players, but you’re not quite prepared to ditch your massive CD collection? Fear not, this butterfly knife-inspired design literally cuts its way down both musical streams.
An exercise in imagination over at Yanko Design, the Butterfly Knife digital media player takes care of the usual MP3 side of things when in its closed position, but when you swing it open like how you would a real butterfly knife, it can read standard compact discs too. The scary part is that the CDs are not being held in some sort of enclosure, so what results is a freestanding circular saw.
Yup that sounds safe. And that’s why this concept will never come to be.
