Ah, Mugen (that’s pronounced moooo-gen, in case you didn’t know). I love all these aftermarket parts that the company produces for Honda, but why go piece-wise, when you can get a fully modified sports car right from the factory? That’s the thinking behind the 2008 Mugen Civic Si.
The “track-tested” Mugen Civic Si is a distinctly different beast than its garden-variety Honda Civic Si cousin. The car sits 0.6 inches lower to the ground thanks to a “tightened up” suspension, riding on a set of 18-inch forged aluminum wheels. The aero bodykit completes the more aggressive look. Interestingly, there’s no mention of any performance upgrades, though you’ve got to expect that they did something, right?
Available exclusively in Fiji Blue Pearl, the 2008 Mugen Civic Si should hit showrooms in mid-October with an asking price below the $30k mark. That’s assuming you can get one, because they’re limiting production to just 1,000 units.
