We had the chance to chat with Chris Houston in August 2006, and he promised that Amp’d Mobile Canada would launch early in 2007. They kept to their word. Just as Amp’d Mobile provides all sorts of broadband multimedia content to Americans, the Canadian version — to operate on the Telus Mobility network — is designed to do the same. With Amp’d Live, they hope to capture the younger demographic, offering them “the best in music entertainment, sports, 3D games and original programming.”
I couldn’t find what phones they’d be carrying on their website, though there are casual mentions of a Motorola RAZR and of a Motorola Q. On the flipside, a full table of their rates and plans is available. You can get started for $35 a month, but it quickly goes up from there, especially if you want to partake in that mobile entertainment.
