It seems that everyone is working on a cell phone for Google, and for good reason. The latest name to be thrown in the hat is Danger, the same people responsible for the hugely popular T-Mobile Sidekick. If you go back to December of last year, we heard that it would be HTC who would be making a Googlephone, and then we heard about the Google Switch by Samsung earlier this year.
We’re not sure what a Danger-created GPhone would look like, but I suspect it’d either come with a full touchscreen or at least a QWERTY keyboard. Google managing director Richard Kimbler is quoted as saying “At this point in time, we are focused on the software, not the phone.” That’s because they’ve got someone else working on the hardware, right?
