SanDisk Goes SHDC and MSPD Happy at PMA

PMA is a conference where all the shutterbugs in the industry gather and compare their various digital photography wares. That’s not to say that the only devices on display are cameras and lenses. SanDisk is making a pretty big splash at PMA this year, revealing three high capacity memory cards that suit big megapixel shooters very well.

The SanDisk Extreme III SDHC high capacity Class 6 memory card packs four gigabytes of space in a postage stamp-sized package. Because most card readers can’t handle SDHC yet, SanDisk is including their MicroMate USB 2.0 reader as an added bonus. The 4-gigger runs for $139.99 and will start selling in April.

If you’re willing to sacrifice some speed for some added storage, there’s also the 8GB SanDisk Ultra II SDHC card. For $239.99, the 8-gig card will also come with a free MicroMate SDHC reader (which usually sells for $20 separately). Look for this one in June.

Lastly, the 4GB SanDisk Extreme III Memory Stick PRO Duo is a perfect companion for your PSP, Walkman phone, or CyberShot camera. This’ll ship in April for $179.99.
