Ticketmaster and Apple have gotten together for a cross-promotion exercise. If you buy tickets on Ticketmaster’s website, you can get free downloads from iTunes. In the same vein, order one of a host of albums on iTunes and get Ticketmaster tickets in a pre-sale, before the rest of your jealous friends can get their hands on them.
This arrangement will extend into the physical world, sort of, later in 2007. Sometime in the next few months, you’ll be able to walk into any Target store in the U.S. and buy a $50 gift card pack that gives the recipient online stores credit at both Ticketmaster.com and the iTunes Store.
