Belkin Issues USB Cable for Vista Adopters

Belkin wants to make your transition to Windows Vista as seamless and easy as possible, but they’re going about it in a slightly different way with this “Easy Transfer Cable for Windows Vista.” It seems that if you want to upgrade to the new operating system, this USB cable isn’t all that useful unless you have two computers, one of which should still be running XP.

Why? Because it is designed to “copy all the programs and files form [an] XP-based PC to [a] Vista-based PC with just a single cable.” This includes all of your personalized settings regarding internet connectivity and security, desktop layout, and so on.

While the Belkin Easy Transfer Cable for Windows Vista wasn’t quite ready for the launch of Microsoft’s new operating system, it will start shipping around mid-February.
