The Samsung i600 smartphone, better known as the BlackJack in some circles, attacks the exact same segment of the market as the super skinny Motorola Q, and now the Sammy handset is heading across the Atlantic. A little late to the party, but the i600 is still quite the hot number to behold.
Set to make waves in the United Kingdom next month, the Korean PDA phone — as you recall — boasts a full QWERTY keyboard, Windows Mobile 5.0, 1.3 megapixel primary camera, VGA video telephony camera, stereo Bluetooth, and push email. And I guess that whole 3G business is pretty noteworthy as well. Yup, it’s got HSDPA. Other specs include a 2.3-inch QVGA 65k color display, quad-band GSM/GPRS radios, and WiFi.
Expansys is expected to start shipping the Samsung i600 smartphone on February 27th, with the price for an unlocked unit set at £390.
