New Year’s Eve may have come and gone, but over at Sony, the bubbly is still flowing steadily. The electronics giant has just announced a Champagne Gold variant of the PSP. I’ve never really thought of the PSP as a particularly “classy” device, but with this new paintjob, it exudes a certainly level of high society that it never had before. The wonders of some new color in the cheeks.
Unfortunately for us poor saps in North America, Sony doesn’t have any immediate plans to release the golden child on this side of the Pacific. And yes, apparently the people of Europe are out of luck too. The only place you’ll find the Champagne Gold PSP is in Japan, where they will start selling the shimmery gamer on February 22nd. Asking price is 20,790 Yen (US$175).
