Audi is expanding their lineup again, this time offering us the A5 coupe. Set to be unveiled at the Geneva Auto Show next month, the A5 is the first Audi to use the new MLP platform, “promising better weight distribution than any previous Audi.” Because of this perfect balance, they can tune the chassis to “deliver understeer, neutral handling or oversteer at the limit.”
In this way, they can get the Audi A5 to appeal to any driver, whether they want to more daily-driver feel of understeer or the more aggressive characteristics that a more expert driver would want. There’s no word on what engine will be powering the new A5, but it is said to be considerably larger than the A4. In fact, it’s a hair shorter than the A6 at an estimated 4.70 meters in overall length. I guess that makes sense, eh, having the A5 fit between the A4 and A6?
