A webcam the size of a thumb drive

The more portable computers get, the more people want to use them to communicate. And one of the main ways for people to communicate using today’s cutting-edge technology is via webcam. Various makers sell these image transmission devices, and the sizes vary.

There’s small, and then there’s really small, as in the size of a thumb drive. That’s what the latest Volvox webcam looks like. It’s from Sydnt out of South Korea. The tiny camera has a 1.3-megapixel image sensor and a 30 frames per second video capture rate.

No matter how small it is, it still does its job, which is transmitting your mug to the rest of the known world, or at least to the fame of someone who would want to talk to you.

At this point, we have nothing other than vague reports. The product isn’t out yet, and introduction into the Korean market has no corresponding date. For right now, enjoy the possibilities.
