HSDPA on the way for Toshiba Portege

Wow, that’s a little too much rhyming for my own good.

While we here in North America are still quite slow to fully adopt 3G wireless technology, device manufacturers are trudging ahead to fill the market with machines that make use of the high-speed data standards. Toshiba, for example, has just announced the new version of their Portege M400, a Tablet PC that now comes with integrated HSDPA connectivity. Hurray for HSDPA (and its 1.8Mbps download speeds).

This latest announcement follows up on the EV-DO capable M400 that Toshiba dished out to Verizon Wireless some time back. No word on when (and for how much) the HSDPA M400 will launch.
