Vertu isn’t the only premium phonemaker on the block. Gresso is hitting up the high-end not with diamonds and pearls, but with “African Blackwood and Gold.” The Russian-based electronics maker is clearly not marketing their handsets by virtue of the technological feats they achieve, but rather for the materials they’re made of. Too bad African Blackwood isn’t exactly the sturdiest thing out there (but at least your phone will be completely original as no two trees are alike).
What’s more, you’ve got to wonder why there is so much empty space around the screen. While it’s SLVR thin at 10mm, you’ve also got to wonder about the legitimacy of the company, considering the only means of contact is a hotmail address. If you still want one, the Gresso phones appear to be Russia only for now.
