China’s got another touchscreen PDA phone for us, but this one looks eerily familiar. The CoolPad 728B is the follow-up to the CoolPad 728 we saw several months back. From what we can gather, the main difference is simply GPS navigation, though there could be more than meets the eye, especially considering the wallet-busting price.
If the rest of the specs hold true, then the 728B will be much like the 728 (what happened the 728A?), meaning that it will run on both CDMA and GSM-based networks (meaning it has two SIM slots), be powered by some rendition of Windows, and boast a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display. There’s got to be a camera on this, though I hope it improves upon the 1.3 megapixel unit we saw on the 728.
Keep your eyes and ears peeled for more deets as they reveal themselves. Pricing is expected to be in the 7,500 yuan (US$950) range.
