As is usually the case when it comes to picking up a new laptop, you start to regret your purchase shortly afterwards because a beefier version is inevitably offered for the same (or lower) price. Toshiba has gone around upgrading some of their notebooks — Portege M500, Satellite A100, Satellite M100 — most notably tossing in some juicy Core 2 Duo goodness. The A100 is probably the best of the bunch with its 15.4-inch display, Core 2 Duo processor (of unspecified speed), “enhanced AV functions”, and a super-large 160GB internal hard disk drive. The 12.1-inch M500 and graphics-centric M100 boast similar upgrades. Pricing for all three laptops starts at around US$1,750.
Okay, you can stop trying to eat that CD now.
