Straddling the great divide between a UMPC and a full-fledged multimedia laptop is the Fujitsu Lifebook P1610, a vibrant-looking unit with an 8.9-inch wide XGA display that swivels for the best viewing angle (not a touchscreen to our knowledge, though). Dubbed a “mini laptop”, the P1610 comes powered by an Intel Core Solo U1400 (1.2GHz) processor, up to a full gig of uDIMM memory, and an 80 gigabyte hard drive to stash all your cool data. Rounding out the features are a fingerprint sensor, SD card reader, USB 2.0, PC card slot, all three flavors of WiFi, and a 3-cell battery good for 4.5 hours of use. Alas, this micro madness is destined for Korea only, with prices starting in the US$2,000 to US$2,500 range.
