Best Buy doesn’t want Apple to have all the fun in the PMP market, so they are taking them on. The company has launched their own player.
The Insignia NS-DVxG was developed by Korean maker Joytoto. Insignia is a private label brand which Best Buy already uses to sell TVs, DVD players and DAPs. The latest offering has 4GB of onboard flash memory, with a microSD slot offering up to 4GB more. It has a 2,2 inch TFT LCD screen for videos and games. Bluetooth connectivity lets you stream your music or easily share with other users. A partnership with Napster will provide content. They’ll be available in October. No word yet on price.
