Already confused by the choices available in the PMP market? It’s about to get worse. Samsung has released a new player, the YP-T9B, which does a bunch of tricks that Apple’s newest similar offering can’t do. The 4GB player is less than half an inch thick and it weighs just 1.7 ounces, so it squarely competes with the Nano. Unlike the Nano, though, it has Bluetooth support so you can use wireless headphones. It also has FM radio and voice recording. Oh yeah, it has video playback as well. It can play 15 frames per second at 208 x 176, and it does it on a 1.8 inch screen. It plays all of the formats that you would expect, and it has a battery life of 30 hours for sound, or 6 hours for video. You even get a couple of 3D games thrown in for kicks.
No word on when this will be available or what it will cost, but it has been spotted in China already, so we could see it soon.
