It’s not enough to be skinny these days. You need to be able to do lots of different things while maintaining as compact a footprint as possible. Samsung has embraced the “thin is in” mantra with many of their flip and slider phones, and now they’re upgrading their old P300 with the all new SGH-P310.
To call this a candybar handset would be a bit of a misnomer, given its miniscule waistline and credit card-sized form factor. As such, the P310 is being marketed as a “calculator phone”, harkening back to your days of simple arithmetic in elementary school (but this phone is a heck of a lot prettier).
For the P310, they combined glossy black with brushed stainless, producing a distinctly upscale and fashionable look. While the display isn’t the biggest at 220 x 176 (as expected, you will be able to enjoy a video-capable 2-megapixel camera, a microSD expansion slot, an integrated music player, and Bluetooth 2.0 (with A2DP).
No word on pricing or availability as Samsung hasn’t officially gone on the record about this phone yet.
