A basic MP3 player for only $15

While the masses are constantly lusting after the latest Apple music player, some of us don’t feel like paying over three figures to get some portable tune-filled entertainment. If you want an MP3 player on the cheap, it really doesn’t get much more affordable than this $15 unit. As you’d probably expect, it’s like all the other el cheapo DAPs on the market: there’s no display or flashy features. In fact, it doesn’t even have any internal memory.

Instead, you’ll have to provide your own SD or MMC memory card to stash your songs on. On the plus-side, this unnamed player doubles as an SD-MMC card reader, connecting to your computer via high-speed USB 2.0. In this way, you could think of it as a thumb drive, except without the built-in memory.

You’ll get about 10 hours of MP3 playing juice out of a single AAA battery (you didn’t expect a rechargeable lithium ion, did you?), and they’re even throwing in a set of earbuds for good measure. You can pick one up at USBGeeks.
