Slim and minimal, the Mcody M-20

The Mcody M-20 is being billed as a minimalist music player, and it certainly looks the part. When it’s off, it turns completely black, the monolith of all players. The red dial buttons and the white OLED text that you see when you’re listening to music disappear completely, changing the look to a slim mini… block. (It’s just a few millimeters in width.)

The sound is not minimalist, however. You get 40mW output and SRS Wow 3D Sound, enhanced by TruBass. Users will no doubt also enjoy the varied capabilities, as the player can support MP3, WMA, WAV, and even OGG Vorbis files. In the same way, it can be connected to a computer of any format, appearing on the desktop as a removable disk drive, which it certainly resembles.

The M-20 is also a recorder, able to accept voice, MP3 and even FM. It is an FM tuner as well. You can order one here for 69 pounds, which is just over US$125.
