Live in an apartment or condo? Tired of trying to find a parking space? Why don’t you just stick your car on your balcony? That’s the vision that a German company called Car Loft has in mind. They have designed, and are getting ready to build, an apartment building in Berlin with a separate CarLoggia, or balcony parking spot, for each apartment. You’ll want to have a fancy car, too, because large windows looking onto the parking spot make your car a piece of art for your home.
To access your CarLoggia you have to rely on a large industrial elevator. It takes about two minutes to go from the ground to your home. That may be longer than it takes you to drive into the garage now, but the walk to your apartment from your car will definitely be shorter.
These aren’t entry level apartments. They will range in size from 2,411 to 5,802 square feet and will start at about $580,000.
