Pantech has unveiled the PG-3600V, a new slider handset with a familiar touch wheel control which is accessible when the phone is closed. The most eye-catching feature of the phone is the MPEG-4 video editing capabilities which, when combined with the 1.3 megapixel camera, can make you into a mobile Spielberg. This is the first GSM phone to boast those capabilities. The phone has 512MB of internal memory which you can use to store the music which you can control with the touch wheel. Bluetooth presents stereo opportunities for your music pleasure and an external card slot for added capacity.
The phone measures 102.3 x 46.6 x 17.8 mm and weighs 94.1 grams. It has a 1.9” TFT LCD display. Before you get too excited about the phone, though, you should know that you are out of luck unless you are in Hong Kong, because that seems to be the only place that the phone is being marketed by Pantech. No word on what it will cost you if you are there.
