While the lime green exterior may be a little off-putting for the average North American, the NEC N902iS heading to a NTT DoCoMo retailer near you (if you happen to be in Tokyo) comes with a feature you’ll have a hard time finding anywhere else: users can snap pics and automatically upload them to a Japanese search engine called “Evolution Robotics.” After the pictures are submitted, they can be easily shared or retrieved.
Of course, you don’t want to share blurry low-res snapshots. That’s why this sleekly designed clamshell sports a 4.0 megapixel external camera with autofocus. For your video telephony needs, you can turn to the secondary VGA internal camera. Other highlights include a 2.5-inch QVGA+ display and a miniSD expansion slot. The N902iS is available in Pistache Green, Russet Black, Ice Silver, and Jewel Green.
We’re still waiting on confirmation regarding pricing and availability, but don’t expect this to cross the Pacific anytime soon (if ever).
