If you thought that you could carry around lewd downloaded content on your Verizon handset, you’ve got another thing coming. The censors are hard at work to block anything remotely saucy from ever getting onto your phone, including but not limited to games, ringtones, music, videos, or even text. A similar situation has presented itself over at Cingular as well.

If you want to get your hands on a game that involves over the top language, nudity or violence, you won’t be able to enjoy it on your mobile if you happen to be a Verizon or Cingular subscriber.

They’ve specifically targeted anything remotely sexual or in reference to particular body parts. In fact, Cingular has banned the words “lesbian” and “condom”. Games that are rated M for Mature you might as well forget about, as well as T for Teen titles that go any further than “mild language and/or minimal suggestive themes.”
