LG promotes its wares at CTIA Wireless

LG has been doing quite well for itself lately, and here are seven handsets you should keep your eye out for if you happen to find yourself wandering through the CTIA Wireless trade show in Las Vegas this week.

Cingular is getting its hands on its first UMTS phone, and it’s coming from LG. The CU320 (pictured) was initially unveiled at CES, and will feature high-speed video, a 1.3 megapixel shooter, and a built-in MP3 player that can be run in the background.

Make your own ringtones with the LG3400 clamshell, thanks to its melody composer. The LG350 features Bluetooth connectivity, training-less voice recognition, and 3D gaming support. On the more basic end of things is the LG225, which sports an entry-level VGA camera and MSN messenger.

If you have some extra cash to blow, the LG550 is “more like a portable stereo than a phone”, complete with microSD expansion, a 1.3 megapixel CMOS camera with video capabilities, and interchangeable faceplates. The EV-DO enabled LG8300 also plays tunes through its dual stereo speakers, and features “Simultaneous GPS”, Bluetooth, and advanced voice recognition.

And yes, that hot little Chocolate phone is also at the show, but alas, it’s still a Korea-only handset for the time being.
