Blackberry devices are quite the popular commodity for business people on the go, allowing them to stay well connected to the office and clients via e-mail and what-have-you. With 3G gadgetry popping up left, right, and center these days, you have to wonder where is Research in Motion’s handheld in all of this kafuffle. Well, RIM has partnered up with Vodafone, and a 3G Blackberry is on its way.
Based on the 8700 series we saw last year, the Blackberry 8707v rocks a 312MHz Intel PXA901 processor to go with its 16MB of SRAM and 64MB of Flash memory. Of course you’ll find Bluetooth on board here as well. The vibrant color display is your standard issue 320 x 240 pixel TFT LCD.
Quad-band (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) GSM/GPRS connectivity is here for most of your voice call needs – there’s no indication on whether we’ll find EDGE here – and you’ll be able to tackle all your data needs thanks to the 3G modem. No word on pricing or availability.
