In the world of microelectronics, there’s small and then there’s small. Sharp has taken size to a new low with the LZ0P396D, a minuscule yet significant camera module that packs a whopping 110,000 pixels in a module just 1/11 inches in size.
The module also supports full-motion video capture at 30 frames per second. As you movie enthusiasts know, this makes for a smooth picture.
Why so small? Well, Sharp has a pulse on the ever changing, constantly improving, world of digital imaging. With more and more functionality being crammed into smaller and smaller spaces, it is imperative that the “brains” of these cameras be as small as possible while also packing a powerful punch.
In this case, smaller is better.
