If you live in Manhattan and you have a late night craving for an iPod, you soon won’t have to wait until morning to get one. Apple is opening a new retail store in midtown Manhattan that will be the company’s first store to remain open for 24 hours a day. The store will be located in the underground retail plaza of the General Motors Building. You’ll be able to recognize it because of the 32 foot glass cube that will stand in front of the GM Building and house the stairs and elevator to the store.
The store will be a 25,000 square foot behemoth. It will be one of the first Apple stores to have an iPod Bar, where you can get help and support for your little life saver. Construction is underway on the new store and this flagship location is expected to be open by the end of May.
