It’s really quite amazing what they are jamming onto flash drives these days. It is no longer good enough just to have a flash drive that stores files and data. Now it has to do something else too, and it is all the better if it is the first drive in the world to do that. With that in mind, IOCell has unveiled their new Vaccinedrive. It is the first drive in the world that comes complete with anti-virus engine software embedded in the flash memory to protect you against viruses and other malicious nastiness.
The anti-virus software on the Vaccinedrive protects the data stored on the drive, but it can also scan your hard drive if you so desire. When it is connected to a USB port it can automatically update its information on the web. IOCell promises that it will not conflict with your existing anti-virus protection.
The drive comes in sizes ranging from 128MB to 2GB. No word yet on availability.
