Tekkeon myTalker brings Bluetooth to your iPod

This is a simple little innovation that makes sense. The myTalker, which was unveiled this week at MacWorld by manufacturer Tekkeon, is the first Bluetooth gateway that you can use with the earphones of your iPod or other MP3 player. That means you can listen to your tunes and receive calls from your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone without having to fumble around and change earpieces. The myTalker just connects between your iPod and earphones, letting you use your existing pieces without interruption.

The myTalker clips onto your shirt or jacket and it has a microphone to let you do the talking. The myTalker also incorporates buttons to control the volume and use calling features like redial, voice dialing and call waiting. It will also show you the battery status of the rechargeable lithium ion that provides 5 hours of talk time or 120 hours of standby. Charging is done through a USB port.

The myTalker won’t weigh you down. It just weighs 1.2 ounces and measures in at only 1.1” x 1.9” x 0.5”. It will work with any player that uses a standard audio jack and you can have your very own for $74.95.
