AMD has just made it known that its Alchemy Au1200 processor is powering Digital Cubes’ range of personal media players (PMPs), namely its i-Station V43 series, the i-Station V43 Navi series and the SK C&C Air series. The AMD processor provides long-lasting battery life, enables seamless video content transfer, and features great DVD-quality displays for the Digital Cube PMPs.

“The integration of the AMD Alchemy Au1200 processor in Digital Cube’s latest PMPs provides consumers with living-room quality video entertainment on the go… By combining AMD’s expertise in embedded processing with Digital Cube’s leadership in developing innovative portable media devices, users will be hard pressed to find a more engaging portable media experience”, according to Digital Cube R&D Director Dr. Yeonsik Yu.

Digital Cube’s i-Station V43 and i-Station V43 Navic PMPs are currently ranked amongst the best PMPs on the market today. It has a 4.3″ TFT LCD display, 14/7 hours of audio and/or video, offers GPS capabilities and users can even use it to download from other mobile gadgets.

The SK C&C Air line of PMPs, developed with SK Telecom/C&C, boasts of being the first PMPs that offer satellite Digital Multimedia Broadcast (DMB) functionalities. With such capabilities, owners of the SK C&C Air series of PMPs can be assured of a wide array of digital entertainment options.
