LG unveils 42″ HDTV with 160GB hard drive

The only thing better than a big TV, is a big HD compatible TV. The newest offering from LG is better than both of those things. The only thing I don’t like about it is the name. Surely LG could do better than the LG 43LP1DR. It is a 42” HDTV, but what I really like is the integrated 160GB hard drive. That means you can record all your programs with ease and play it back with amazing video quality. You can record 13 hours of HD programming or 63 hours of regular content on the drive.

The TV also comes with a 9 in 1 memory card reader meaning you can read or record to CF, MD, SD, SMC, MMC, MS, MS Pro, Magic Store or Xd-Picture, what I like to call “Rip and Go technology”.

This model has just been announced by LG Korea, so we have no word yet on what it will cost or when or where it will be available.
