Want to read a comic strip to cheer you up? Well, you can whenever you like and wherever you are if you’re on the Verizon Wireless network with Mobile Web 2.0.
GoComics and m-Qube have partnered to bring comic strips daily to Verizon Wireless Mobile Web 2.0 consumers. All subscribers have to do is access the Entertainment category on VZW today on their Mobile Web 2.0-capable handsets and go to the Fun submenu. If you are a Verizon Wireless subscriber but don’t have Mobile Web 2.0 enabled, you can simply register via your handset. Mobile Web 2.0 is available for US $5.00 monthly, plus airtime. Subscription to GoComics costs an additional US $1.99.
“For years, getting a newspaper thrown on one’s doorstep and reading one’s favorite comic strips has been a way of American life. Given individuals’ increasingly fast lifestyles, GoComics has been challenged to deliver entertainment through a broader range of media,” says uclick Mobile President and CEO Chris Pizey.
“As a result of its collaboration with m-Qube, GoComics can now offer a wider selection of individual comics, and make viewing them easier than ever before. The ultimate result is superior customer convenience – a cornerstone of the Verizon Wireless Mobile Web experience,” says m-Qube President and CEO Jeffrey Glass.
